SAT is one of the required exams for undergraduate and associate degree education in America. International students who want to study in the United States and citizens of the country can take the exam. It is also valid in Turkey. Some universities require this exam score from international students who want to complete their university education in Turkey.
The SAT measures math, writing and critical reading competencies, as well as English skills. The skills of students who will start university education are evaluated based on their secondary education.

The College Board organizes the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Exams are held at 2-month intervals throughout the year. There are seven exams in a year in the USA. In other countries, six exams are held per year. The exam is held frequently in October (when the academic year starts), November, and December. In addition, exams are held in January, which is the beginning of the semester, and in May and June, the last months of the academic year. How Much Does the SAT Exam Fee? What Parts Does the Exam Consist? How to Scoring the Exam?
There are two different fees for the SAT. For students who do not take the Essay exam, the fee is $101. The total fee, including the Essay exam, is $117.
The SAT consists of two separate exams: the Reasoning Test (SAT 1) and the Subject Test (SAT 2).
Information about the SAT 1 exam is as follows:
● It is a multiple-choice exam
● It measures verbal and numerical ability.
● The exam has three sections: Geometry (Mathematics), English reading (Critical Reading), composition (Writing).
● The score of each section varies between 200 and 800.
SAT 2 measures students’ academic proficiency in specific subjects. Physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, history, English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Latin are among the exam subjects.
In the USA, SAT 2 results are evaluated in applications. In Turkey, it is not taken into account; only the SAT 1 score is important. As a result of the exam, the scores of the two sections are added separately, and the final score varying between 400-1600 points is calculated. The score required by universities varies. For well-established universities in the world ranking, over 1500 points are required. The score required by middle-level universities is around 1050.
