YÖS Exam Topics

Questions that measure abstract thinking, reasoning, and analytical thinking, which we may call the GENERAL ABILITY (IQ). Although the weight of these questions is different for each university, they have a weight between 40% and 60% among all questions.

MATH AND GEOMETRY questions are questions that measure numerical skills. The weight of these is between 30% – 40% in Mathematics and 10% – 20% in Geometry among the total questions, again different in each university.

For example, Ankara University determined the content of the 2019 YÖS Exam as follows; “The questions in the” Basic Learning Skills Test “to be used in AYOS will be prepared and applied in Turkish and English languages. This test aims to measure the students’ ability to think abstractly and reason. It will consist of questions that measure the power of using basic mathematical knowledge. The questions will be prepared with five options and multiple choice.
